2011 Toyota Sienna: Minivans CAN Be Cool

With the launch of the all-new Sienna, Toyota is trying to prove that minivans can still be stylish. Aimed at younger parents, the latest Sienna ads attempt to convince consumers that this “Swagger Wagon” isn’t your typical boring family hauler.

Starting in the new Sienna commercial are actors Brian Huskey and Rachel Drummond. In the recently launched made-for-the-Internet “Swagger Wagon” rap video, viewers can watch these ordinary parents try to stand out from the crowd with their lyrical mastery. While busting a rhyme, they also explain why rolling in a Sienna SE is way tighter than an SUV.

Aside from showing off one of its newest products, this new rap video is the latest attempt by Toyota to become more involved in social media. Particularly in light of recent recall concerns, Toyota wants to increase positive conversation share online, promote transparency, and humanize the brand. With these lighthearted ads, Toyota appears to be reaching that goal.
